Hmmm, I see.

Hopefully they fix this or something soon.

Thank you!

I am sorry, I am having a bit of trouble find ur email, do you know where I can find it?  Or just what it is?

"why don't you shoot an email to fiendishfiction@gmail.com and we'll hook you up with a game code so you can own the itch.io version? You've been a long-time supporter of ours, so we feel you deserve it. :)"

Oh thank you so much!  And I am happy to  keep supporting u guys!!

It makes (even more) sense why u want to do Occult Mingle first then, in that case.  And even more excited for Occult Mingle, and I do hope it gets full VA, but I am still excited for it either way, and I am sure it will be a quality  game either way too.

And excited for RoD after OM, which I will keep patiently waiting for.  I am sure both games will turn out great!

Thank you so much for the reply.  :)

I just barely missed getting UAN for free on Itch.io, me sad.  I have a version of UAN on Steam, but I thought it would be cool to have an itch.io version of it too.  But I just missed it.  Oh well, it happens.

Anyways, happy birthday, Nick!  I love u so much.  I hope to see u  go through the winger again even more in UAN 2:  Remnants of Dawn (well, that is probably given since he is one of the main suspects to be like, a serial killer, and this is Nick, sooooo...).  Though I am also hoping he finally gets some happiness and/or a happy ending, because God knows he needs deserves that/those things.

I am a bit disappointed about UAN:  Remnants of Dawn being pushed back from releasing next month (April), because that probably had been my most-anticipated release from u guys (I got into ur studio through UAN 1 and loved it and later Rumination very much.  And I am loving Daybreak a lot too).  So I have been very excited for UAN 2:  Remnants of Dawn.  Plus, there is/was so much stuff that I am looking forward to releasing in April, including this game, so that is just something cool for me.  But April is still jam-packed for me, even w/o UAN 2:  ROD.

Anyways yeah, I am a bit disappointed about UAN 2:  ROD not coming out next month.  However!  I have already waited for it, I can wait some longer for it.

Plus, Occult Mingle looks so fun!  I like it seeming to be a more of mixture of modern/urban and supernatural, horror, mystery, and/or etc. like ur UAN games.  And it just sounds interesting in general.  Like, having a kind of text/social media/something like that format or something, I like for the VN, because of u being in a kind of a chat room (where weird stuff starts to go on) for supernatural enthusiasts.  It being a dating sim.  Plus, all the other elements I (and u) mentioned it having.  It just looks so cool!  And it is going to be free too (probably)!!  And coming out soon/Q2 probably.  And it might get full VA (man, I would love some of ur VN's to get VA; partial or Full.  Though, they are still great w/o that) too.  Nice!  Basically very much excited for Occult Mingle; it will defin. tide me over until UAN 2:  ROD comes out, hahaha.

Thanks for the update; have a nice day/night!

I would like to be able to download the above (the thing for the Keyboard controls), but when I do, it says it is no longer avaialable?

Is this just me?

If so, is there a different way I could get the above?

If not, will you be fixing this?

Or have something else similar for us to get/download/etc.?

Thank you.

Awesome!  =)

Birds of Paradise sounds cool.

Cool to know you will be getting a console release.

Will the people who the Steam version still getting Rumination as a DLC for their "Up All Night" game on Steam?

I know I am a bit late(ish), but thank you for the nice update.  Excited for the rewritten First year and 2nd year (when you can ofc).  Good luck at school.

I am replying to my own comment, because I wanted to add some stuff to my original review after some more playthroughs of the demo.   I am doing a reply instead of just making an edit to my original comment, because my first OP comment is already long enough.

Anyways... let's get to talking about more new stuff from my other new(er) playthroughs of your demo.

So after playing the VN a few more times and picking some other choices I was able to get more different scenes and different  it appears & character routes/endings (not the ending of the demo itself though).

So I now realized the first ending I got was probably one of the "worst" ( say worst, but it was still interesting, and Cain calling out obsessive and etc. Lane was acting was probably good for him.  What I mean by worst, is that it is one of routes/endings where you end up not becoming the prez. since you fail to recruit anyone, which causes Alice to become the prez. instead.) ones.

I am guessing this one might be more of the Holly and Alice route.  Though Alice got a fair amount of focus too in the route where I got Ros to join the club.  So who knows.  It is so early in the VN it is hard to tell exactly how routes and stuff will play out.

After some more playthroughs, I was able to recruit Nat, and I think it was the one where me and Alice become class prezs. together, which is cool.  Not becoming the prez., but one of the better (at least in terms of it being better for Lane; he seems to be a bit more of a healthy place than in the route where Alice becomes Prez or the Ros route imo.  I don't mean the route is better story or character wise if that makes sense) routes it seems  that you can get.  Btw, this route made me love Nat even more, and got to see some more of Lane's crazy determination (in a bit more healthy way than in the first route ending I got).

After that (I think) I got Ros' route/ending and got her to join the club.  Lane really shows how far he is willing to go get money in this route, coming up with a money-making (maybe illegal scheme) with Ros, and Ros also shows how far she can be willing to go, but going along with it, and joining the club too.  Really shows Lane in a different light; it is interesting  Honestly, while we actually became the president full-on in this route (I think), and not be co-prez with Alice; I see this route being more worse for Lane mentally (though, story and character wise it is very interesting), Ros too.  Them taking initiative is cool, but the way they are doing, and just how far they are thinking about going..is just something that might now turn out well for them.  The route will look like it will be interesting though.  Liked getting to know Ros more in this route, she is a bit too much of a rule-breaker at times, but she is starting to grow on me and I liked learning more about her.

Alice in this route was also appearing that she might be better in this route, going to the library with me and stuff, but she ended up locking me in there, because she just is SO wants that prez position.  Which is admirable in a way;  she is similar to Lane in that regard, though she takes it further in a lot of ways.  Saying that, her doing this didn't warm her to me.  I am guessing and hoping she is just a slow burn character, because she is currently the character where I have seen the least good qualities in/not seen much of her good sides yet.  Yes, both Cain and Ros are bit rough around the edges and Holly could think things through more, but I have seen good traits with all them; Alice however, while I can respect how much she strives to get the prez position, and some other stuff about her, so far, her bad qualities hugely outweigh her good ones, so hope the full game will allow us to see more of her good traits/qualities.

I couldn't get any more routes/endings, so I am guessing there probably isn't anymore to get in the demo.   Probably at least.  I am also guessing that the other character routes/routes will become more available and/or obviously available in the content after the demo (i.e., the full game).

After getting more routes/endings; I am even more excited for the full game.  It is going to be hard to wait, but I will wait of course.  Good luck on the rest of the game.

(1 edit)

Cool, excited for UAN:  Rumination to get a free DLC Steam Version!  Once that happens, I am totally going to play again; haven't gotten all the OSTs/music tracks and endings.  Though, I did get what appeared to be the true ending in my first playthrough.

Spoilers:

I basically didn't open at all to Patricia about what happened in the moutains (i.e. the events of UAN); at first because I thought it made more sense for Nick to not open up right away about it, and then, for that reason for awhile, but also because after I saw Patricia get that phone call from her boss, and found out that Patricia basically tells her Boss everything about her clients if she is asked, and due to me being suspicious of both Patricia and esp. the boss and knowing the boss would probably found out anything I told Patricia, I basically kept my mouth shout about the events of "Up All Night" (though Nick did talk about vampires; still mainly didn't talk about those events until Patricia confronted Nick about dating her daughter), and mostly talked about other things, like Nick's car accident and deaths of his two friends and stuff like that.

And it looks like I was right to, because, and while I haven't gotten the other endings (I have only gotten the one, probably true end), I am guessing something bad happens earlier than it does in the true end to Patricia and maybe Nick.  So yeah.  I think not opening up like I did protected Nick and Patricia some, and made me get the True End (on my first try, hahah).  The CG of Nick and him killing the werewolf; I love the design of the werewolf (looked majestic honestly, and they were huge), and Nick looked badass; haggard, upset, but badass.

End of Spoilers.

I really liked your galleries so far.  With UAN having the CG gallery, and UAN:  Rumination having the CG gallery and Music Box or whatever it was called; is cool.  I bet UAN 2 gallery will be awesome too, probably having the best of UAN and UAN:  Rumination.

Anyways, cool to see a new version of UAN:  Rumination.  Excited for the Steam version whenever that ends up being.  Good luck on integrating UAN:  Rumination into the Steam version of UAN; will wait for that.

So; I just finished the Demo of this recently on Steam (I have done all the choices yet though, but I have finished my first playthrough.  If you are wondering why I am posting here, well, there isn't a review option for the demo, though, I could do it in the community tab, and you just seem a bit more active here, so for now, I am posting here.

So first; I am going to talk about this:

  • "5 - 7 character routes divided among major branching plot routes
  • "Over 10 endings guided by player choice, and one hidden ending
  • "Optional 18+ content"

Excited that there will be 5-7 character routes; hoping it is 7, because the more the merrier for me, but 5 or 6 routes is also really awesome, and I am excited for it.

Excited for the branching paths and character routes.

I saw in the comments that there will be 10 endings, but here it says "Over 10 endings", so it is 10 endings or over 10 endings?  If it is the latter, that would be awesome (I love getting all the endings), though 10 endings is already super awesome and cool too.  Also, is the hidden ending included in the number count with the other endings, or not?  Just curious.  Also curious about the hidden ending, and to see it and what it is about when the full game comes out.

I am curious about the 18+ content, and what you mean by that.  I would like to be able to get that, but I don't know how you are going to implicate that.  I also wonder if that will be a thing on Steam, because that is where I plan to get it in the future.  And if not, well,  I don't know.  Anyways, curious about the "optional 18+ content" you are talking about here.

Alright; I am going to talk about the Demo itself now, will probably do a longer review later; I just wanted to talk about some things for right now.  There might some spoilers from now on; just warning you guys.

So, the VN, characters sprite, expressions and animations all look awesome themselves, and the music and sound effects (like for the title screen and that part where Decker poisoned me/Lane, and Cain was smashing her hand trying to get her to talk).  I am liking the characters a lot so far, esp. Lane, who is an interesting protagonist/character to play as, and I look forward to playing as him as more, and finding out more about him and stuff (as well as finding more about other characters).  Saying that; while I find the characters interesting, intriguing, and well-characterized so far.  Some of the characters can be kind of un-likable at times.

I do, however, like imperfect characters, Lane himself isn't perfect, and he lashed at Evan in way that wasn't the best at all.  I think it was understandable considering everything Lane had called through, and some of his implied situation at home, and all his stress.  Saying that, I do think him lashing out at Evan was uncalled for; he just wanted to help, though I also get that it seems like Lane likes to do stuff himself and/or doesn't like pity.  Evan probably also maybe shouldn't have gone into Lane's house like that, and can be pretty paranoid.  Though, not saying he shouldn't be in some cases.  Basically, I like how you are handling Lane and Evan so far a lot, and I look forward to more of that.

Currently though, Alice isn't the most likeable, even after finding out it was Holly that suggested that bloody cut off arm in Lane's prank; mainly due to how she is acting about being the president and not really helping the members of the club.   I do see good attributes in Alice, but right now, I am also seeing a ton of bad ones.  However, the demo is just a small part of the game, I am sure when the full VN comes out, she will get better, if Cain is anything to go by esp.

I mention Cain, because he can also be pretty unlikable at times, even bringing up my poor status out of nowhere, and beating Lane up/physically assaulting Lane a couple of times.  He is more redeemed than Alice in my eyes though, because I realize the time time he pushed me (if I say me, I, or us in this review I mean Lane) in the gym, and the time he beat up Lane after he slapped Alice, we just misunderstandings and/or done out of mostly good intentions.

Saying that, he needs to use his words more (in more of a nice way), instead of just jumping to beating Lane up without giving him the chance to talk.  He also redeemed himself more too to me, when he blocked Decker from getting into the bathroom after Lane ran there after drinking wine (which Lane didn't know at the time had been poisoned/spiked), and after he basically protected us in a way (made Decker stay away from us, and didn't want us to stay there, when Decker had been trying to get Lane to stay even though Lane wanted to go to the hospital), and got Decker to talk and admit that she poisoned Lane.  Though, he may have taken things a bit far there, though, she then proceeded to taser Cain repeatedly (which could have killed him, if Lane hadn't stopped her by hitting her over the head), so I can't say he took things too, too far, esp. since Lane also took things far, and Decker even farer, because she started it (though, I am pretty sure Underwood is involved in some way too, because him and Decker seemed up to something, and I don't think it was an affair like Decker said.  Pretty sure the affair thing was a lie/excuse to cover up something else, and if it wasn't, it wasn't the whole truth).  Basically, both those things and some other smaller events has redeemed Cain some in ways; probably currently more than Alice, though Lane and him still have a ways to go relationship wise.

I do really like Holly, though her suggesting that prank was not cool (While Lane took things a bit far, I can understand why Lane slapped Alice; who, at the time Lane also misunderstood, probably at least partially due to his bias for Holly and against Alice that she set up this prank, because like I said, that wasn't a cool prank at all.  Lane was legit worried that Holly was hurt and in danger); she apologized for it, so that is good though.  She also seems to be slacking off some when working out her punishment; which isn't the best, but I still like her a lot, and it has been stated she is mourning someone, so I have trouble being super mad at her.  I do look forward to finding more about that, and that we can help Holly (and maybe even she can help us too.  Both Lane and Holly seem to be kind of a mess.  To be honest though; the whole main cast seems to kind of a mess.  Sam is probably the most put-together person; at least, from what the demo has shown.).

Nat is awesome and I love her, and probably one of the more likable for me so far.  I also find her BG and her in general (being from Russia, wanting to go back home, wanting to see her boyfriend, being kind of lonely like Lane, being very sporty, her general calm and collected demeanor, having taken medicine for I don't know what that she shared with Lane, thinking rules are important, but giving Lane multiple chances, etc.) pretty interesting so far, and I like her personality.

Ros, well, Lane and her currently aren't on the best of foots, at least for me, because I tried to get her to join the club, and Lane was a bit forceful with that.  I can't blame Ros at all for being upset with us, and Cain coming to her defense.  Like, I get Lane is desperate, but I agree with Lane somewhat, that he has been acting kind of neurotic and obsessed lately.  I also find Ros one of the more likable characters (even if Lane and her aren't currently on the best foot; which is something that might change in the future).  Like, her getting help with school and having a difficult home life (Cain also seems to not have the best home either; his dad esp. seems to probably not be the best), and like her design a lot (Lane, Sam's, Nat's, Holly's, Underwood's, Evan's, and Underwood's are also great too; though everyone's are quite good).

Underwood is cool and interesting and I like him; he is incredibly sus though.

Decker is (or, well, was) pretty cute and funny at times, but even before I found out about the "affair", she was kind of weird, and she just became more weird and sus as the demo progressed, than the whole end happen with me, her, and Cain, and then she well you know got [redacted], so well yeah.  She is interesting I guess, I do feel bad about what happened to her, and I am curious about what she was up to, and why she poisoned Lane, but yeah, she is quite weird and sus.

Like I said, already Sam is probably one of there put-together of all the characters, and is really cool, and has been there for Lane a lot; who really needs some support honestly.  Lane is just having a horrible time.  He is stressed about making money, he seems to be alone at home besides his cat, he gets more and more crazy about getting more members for the club, Cain hurts him twice, the 2nd one ranking up a big hospital bill, he got a head injury, which, I don't think we know how yet earlier in the demo, at least currently, at least with the choices I made, Alice became the president and not him, he got poisoned, etc.  He is just having a super rough time, man.   With that said, Sam being probably one of the better people and really being there for Lane, kind of makes me suspicious too.  That is just probably me being paranoid though.

I like all the mysteries so far (some of which, I have mentioned already) and excited to see more mysteries and found out more stuff.  Some of the other mysteries I am curious about, that I either didn't mention, or didn't talk about completely yet are:

Curious about the beginning of the game where Lane seems to be running from someone/something.  Curious about how Lane injured his head (also wonder why he was at his desk so late into the night, though that might just be because his head injury conked him out), also curious about when Lane was wondering through the school at night.  When he was locked in, and trying to find to someone, if that something "warm and wet, like the inside of a mouth." that was near that stairwell was.  I am guessing it might have been blood, and if that is true; I wonder whose blood it was.

Also wondering what the slamming doors (like the night we were locked in the school), shaking doorknobs like someone is there, but when you go in the room; no one is there, the weird sounds in general, etc. really are.

I think I might have found out more about this if I decided to check out the room where this happened:  "shaking doorknobs like someone is there, but when you go in the room; no one is there," instead of helping Holly like I did.  Will probably check that out later.  Anyways yeah, look forward to finding out more about this.

Wondering why the school seems to getting worse and worse money wise, why this club is really even being made in the first place, why, it seems like there might be less students this year, though I could be wrong about that, why Cain was asked to give Lane his schedule, why Lane was offered the job for club president (idk, with everything else going on; I am even sus about that) in the first place, why Decker poisoned Lane, & what is really going on with Decker, Underwood, and the school in the first place.  So yeah; curious about a lot of things; I am happy that this is going to be a long game.

So if I don't this is just due to the choices I made or just a temporary thing or what, but Alice ended up becoming president and not me, and I do wonder if that is a permeant thing, or just in the route I am no or what, because while I am still really liking the story, I was looking forward to being the club president (I thought it would be interesting), and I don't want to be Alice's lackey, lol.  So I do wonder if the Alice was president is permanent or just on the route I am on or something.  Not saying Alice as president isn't cool, won't be interesting, or won't be enjoyable anyway, I think it probably will be; like I said, I was just looking forward to being the president.  If you can't anything about this, or other stuff on this, because of spoilers or just other reasons, that is totally fine ofc.

What happened at the end of the demo (at least for me, don't know if there are other endings to the demo or not than the one I got) is such a cliffhanger, man.  Like, Decker got [redacted], like holy heck man.  I wonder what is going to happen next with that, esp. with Lane and Cain.

Off the story and on to other some stuff instead.  Like the title screen (like, the layout of it, art, and music like I said already).  Like the CQ gallery, and how the characters have their own ones (I am guessing some of the Demo CQ ones not showing up in the gallery was because it was a Demo) and there is notes about the characters, I wonder if there is going to be ones for other characters not there already; would be cool if they had their own too and there own notes about them too.  Like Lane, Cain, Evan, Underwood and Decker.  Or maybe they will share with the others?  Or be in the Misc. file.  Cool either way.  I like the layout have some of the menus.  Lile the the CQ Gallery looking like a desk with some on it (like pens, mugs with coffee, and the galleries themselves looking like files).  The preferences/setting looking like a desk, computer, and notepad.  The Save and Load looking a locker with books and sticky note(s) are really cool.  The menu in-game you can press, and UI in general looks nice too.

Now on to some more criticisms-like stuff (I know I did that with the characters too, but I also said what I liked there, I actually do like how all the characters seem quite flawed for instance, and this more on the mechanics instead of like, the story or/& characters).  Ummm, so when you mess around with stuff in the menu automatically in-game, the mouse will automatically move at times, and while I like that now, it was kind of confusing at first, I thought something was wrong with my mouse.  It also makes moving around in the menus both quicker and slower at times.  I think it is fine overall (there is a bit of a learning curve though, kinda), but maybe it could do with some tweaks?

So in the preferences and/or settings section, there are options to change the Music and Sound which I like.  If I had to say one thing, I wish it was possible to turn off button clicks you get moving around the menus without muting all the sound (though, not the music), besides that, that is all good.

I say that, but the mouse clicks and the sounds moving around the menus is fine overall; esp. if the sound is a bit lower, and I like how going to or leaving some menus sounds like the opening and closing of doors and/or lockers.  All very creative and on theme.

Hmmmm, besides the logo for your Visual Novel Village that you get while opening the game (which is cool); I wonder if there will be any other openings and/or endings (which I think are cool)?  If not, this VN still seems really cool anyway.

Already; okay, done now.  I said I would do a longer review later, but I think this review is already long and in-depth already (tbh, this review got SUPER long actually hahaha), so I might not say anymore (until the full game is released that is probably) after all; we will see.

Excited for the full game; it is not too far off now.  Great job with this, and good luck finishing it.

Thanks for the help!  And yeah; that is why I didn't want to risk messing w/ the persistent file; I know it is an important file, for many reasons.

Edit:  Just did it; it worked!  This will be super helpful for me for this VN and probably some other future ones I play since I didn't know you could do that.

I mostly just kept on overwriting old saves and stuff when I ran out of saves, but knowing I could do this too will help me out a lot.  Thank you for a 2nd time.

(1 edit)

Been playing your VN (as Raymond currently) and I accidently made some quick saves that I didn't want (meant to click the save button, but clicked the QSave button instead), because I wanted to save those for later.

I tried deleting the files from the saves files, but that didn't seem to work?  I think it might be because of the persistent file, but I don't to mess w/ that.  Anyway to get rid of my quick save files?  If not; if I make more than 6 quick saves will the earlier one be over-written?  I wouldn't mind that (in this case).

I just found this VN!  It looks super cool; like the idea about being able to play as both a Prince and Princess (w/ secret, dangerous powers nonetheless).  Being at a academy and trying to protect the people there is also another plus.

So I saw that you make PDF's of coloring pages and stuff on the site; what site is that?  Do you mean this one?  I am pretty you do; just want to make sure there isn't another site I am missing out on.

The soundtracks for Ep2 looking cool, maybe we can download the full soundtracks someday or episode soundtracks.

So you said this VN will be across 7 years (which is interesting), and release episodically, does that mean 7 episodes (just answer this if you can)?

Excited for more (though I have to actually more properly get in the first episode/first year as well), and for Ep2/2nd Year to come out; good luck on that.

So; I don't think I will be able to back your Kickstarter, so I was wondering if there will be any other chances to get the full version in the future?  I am guessing the full version will be mature or something.  Either way; this looks really cool, excited to play the full game, be it the PEGI 12 version of the full(er) probably higher rated version.

Awesome!  Thank you.

You are welcome; happy to help!  And I will update the newest version as soon as possible!  The newest version is up, right?  Or not yet?  Either way; will be downloading that newest version soon.  Thank you for telling me.

(1 edit)

I am going to be warning about Spoilers in my thread; just in case.  I don't think I got too explicit in my comments, and this is basically a sequel/spin-off of "UAN"/the first game, so my "spoilers" shouldn't be an issue for too many people playing this VN, but just in case there might be spoilers in this thread, so read this thread at your own risk.

So I have also played the first game of this series on Steam.  I just finished it; I bought it on Sale.  I loved it a lot.  I also really adore Nick a lot; he was awesome playing as; liked getting into his head and mental state, and is a really interesting and complex character.  I am sure he will just as interesting from an outside pov (outside pov's can be so fun to write and read).  I am excited to see more of him in this game (Rumination) and UAN 2.

I am also excited to see other (new) characters as well and stuff; that scene at Nick's dream bar at the end of UAN 1 also hinted at learning more about Felix (I think), so I hope that as well.  I am guessing that was the 1,000 (+) words bonus scene only available in the remaster?  I ask that, because while I have seen some stuff of the non-remaster version, I have only ever played the remaster version.  It is cool you can unlock an extra scene (kind of like an epilogue of the game; which are nice) from the gallery after you get enough ending(s); it was a nice/cool reward/thing.

Anyway, besides what I have already said; I will also write a longer review either here or Steam later for UAN (which I have already finished and have got all the endings) and UAN:  Rumination (which I haven't really started playing that much at all really, because I needed to say something before I really got too much into this game/VN), but first I just need to say something(s).  Those being; when playing the game; when trying to use the history option/tab (which; I always really like in stuff like this, and was useful in UAN 1), I got some kind of error that might need to be fixed in the future.

Here, I will show you a couple of screenshots of the error/exception in the reply(ies) to this comment.  I don't want to clutter the main/fist comment w/ images my thread w/ images, and it looks like I am having some trouble linking images.  I am trying to upload 2, but I can only seem to upload 1, so I am going to try to upload/post those images in replies and hope that makes it so I can post 2.  If I still can't 2 in the same comment; I will just post more than 1 reply I guess.  Sorry about that.  Ok.  Moving on to that now.

(1 edit)

Thanks for the reply.  And your welcome!  looking forward to playing the Full VN then.  ^^

(1 edit)

Very long comment incoming.  I just finished the Demo!  I so a post on Tumblr linking this game and and the Countdown for it (I really like that Countdown thing you did by the way!), and came here to check it out.  I wanted to play the Demo before the full game came out, just to get a feel for things, and because sometimes there is some different stuff (like dialogue) in the demo not in the full game, because it is demo-only stuff kind of.  So I decided to play the Demo before the full game releases in just 4 days.

I am going to talk about the actual demo now!  I really like all the sprites and how everyone looks, and the little animations for like when characters blink and for when Flowey attacks you.  Everything just looks so good and I love the coloring.  Sans and Tori's looks/designs are probably my favorite so far, defin. for the demo.

I really like all the accessibility options and captions and the all the different settings you can choose from too.  I esp. like how you can take screenshots just with the S button, makes things much easier.  The Self-voicing is also really interesting, it is cool that the VN is basically voice acted with it, if you so choose to have it enabled.

Some things I noticed about the self-voicing though, is that I would love if you could maybe toggle the menu thing that appears on top that says it is enabled, to make it go away or at least smaller.  It isn't a really big thing, since it is already pretty small, and probably wouldn't be much noticeable at all if played full screen.  I played it windowed, because I was doing other stuff, and I forgot how to fullscreen it.  Would you press F?

Besides that, another thing I noticed while using self-voicing, is that it will say the numbers and letters that appear on top of the screen when you can take a screenshot.  And that it also say all the stuff in the menu while you are using, both things can get a bit annoying.  I don't really know if you can fix that, however, an easy thing I did was just to disable the self-voicing while taking a screenshot and when using the menu most of the time.  I would maybe just leaving a post or update or something suggesting people do this as well.  This is just a suggestion from me too of course.  Okay, done talking about that.

I am going to talk about other menu stuff now.  I really like how it looks, and I like the music menu section a lot.  It is cool you can see the songs and listen to them from there.  When you enter your name, it really feels and looks so much like Undertale, it is very well-done.

Now to talk about some more actual game stuff.  There may some more spoiler-like/spoiler-y stuff ahead, so if people haven't played the Demo, I wouldn't really read past this point.

The in-game menu is also very good and I like the stats thing as well.  I like how it looks, and I also like how the save files look.  I hope in the full release though, there is more save files, maybe 2 or 3 at least would be nice, but for a demo, even one like yours, with some cool different options and choices, 1 is fine.

I really like how the "fights" are in this.  Well, they are more like conversations, like Sans said, and making choices, but they are very fun, and you do them very well.  It is a fun system, and I like the amount of choices for them.  Which so far, the most interesting and fun choices have been some encounters with Flowey and Sans.  Though being able to call Tori Mom or not, was one that I really liked too.

Like, when you originally meet Flowey, you can decide to accept his LOVE or not.  Which I didn't, because I didn't want his LOVE, because I want to date Sans, and also, because he said it as LOVE and not Love, so I wasn't accepting that Flowey, I know what you actually wanted to do.  Which was proven seconds later when he tried to kill me.

Then the conversation with Sans later on, which didn't go too well for me.  I should have made another joke or tired flirting more, instead of trying to talk so much, and making things awkward to the point Sans took pity on me.  Though, I don't think I did TOO bad, but Sans also said our conversation could have gone better, and because I accidently overwrite my load from before the date, I decided I would finish the demo and try to see if I could do better.  Though even if I hadn't done that, I probably would have stuck with that and not change that conversation till the Demo was done anyway.

Anyway, I got the end of the Demo, and got a call from Pap, which is really cool by the way.  And after that, I decided to reset the game to see if I can get a better conversation with Sans, I didn't realize until I had moved past the dialogue super quickly and reset a couple times thinking I had gone too far, because Sans seemed to show up earlier than the last time, that things had changed.  Again, very cool by the way.

A lot of stuff changed after the reset, both Flowey and Sans really knew what was up, and I had very different conversations and/encounters with them.  Even Tori knew something was a bit off, though stuff with her wasn't as different as it was with Flowey and Sans.  Some different things were Flowey not attacking me in the beginning, and Sans saying we seemed bored in the beginning as well.  Flowey also brought up talk about a skip button, and that became enabled.  I didn't use it, but I do wonder how/if the characters would have reacted to being skipped (Sans defin. messed with you for doing that during Genocide).

The most interesting thing, was the Flowey gave me a knife right before the Sans conversation this time, which Sans noticed and asked me to please put it down.  There being options to either do that ("put it down"), put it away, or FIGHT were such different options.  Of course I put it away, because I didn't want to hurt Sans; I wanted to talk to him and date him.  You then were given the option to either make a joke, hug, or kiss him.  Which is also cool.

Something I thought about after this encounter, if Sans could be backstabbed, or like you could at least try to backstab him (not necessarily succeed at doing it) like you could in Undertale.  Maybe if you put the knife away and then hugged him, that might have been an option?  Because putting away might mean you still have the knife on your person, unlike when you put it down, and hugging him would probably be the best time to do it.  It probably wouldn't have worked though, because Sans was already pretty on-guard with seeing you have the knife and he had just met you and so thought it was too early for hugs, but it is an interesting thought.  I would try it, but that would be such a bad way to start off trying to get to know and date him, esp. since there is different stuff you get after resets, plus I don't want to hurt Sans or anyone!  I want to talk and get along with everyone, and date Sans of course!  Which I think I got closer to doing so.

It was also cool at the end of the demo this time around, instead of from Pap, it was from Sans, another cool change.  I like the calls by way!  I hope the calls stuff is in the full game, because this has been end of the demo stuff, so Idk.  So yeah, I hope there is Calls stuff in the full game!

That is the stuff I got/learned so far.  I haven't tried all the dialogue options and choices, and I haven't tried to reset another time, to see if there are any more changes, because I think I left stuff off well with Sans, and I would feel bad if I kept loading and resetting on him.  It is really nice that there are this many choices and replayability in just the demo, and makes me even more excited for full VN in four days.  I can tell you have put a lot of effort into this and I am looking forward to it!

Seeing your development log, and seeing the Act 1,2, and 3, as well as the Secret Route and Epilogue makes me even more curious to play the full thing very soon!  Okay, done with my incredibly long comment/review, hope you didn't mind it.

Now to wait for the Full VN to come out; know when it does I am going to play it.  Thank you for releasing the trailer and Demon of this already and thank you for making this VN!  The full VN is gonna be awesome once it comes out.  :)

Nevermind, it is working all of a sudden now.  I don't know if you fixed something on your end or I fixed something on my end.  Either way, I got it working and I'm really excited to finally play this VN for myself.

Very excited for you guys to post the video version of this VN too when you can, because watching this series has been fun (I love playing too though).

Also looking forward to the Social Butterflies Events videos and of course the next episodes of the main series.  Really loving Shattered Hope.  ^^

It keeps saying "it couldn't execute".  And it won't run or start up, and keep having to run it as an administrator in the 1st place.  I had already downloaded the originally Google Drive version, but I wanted to download this one, because it is updated and stuff.  But it still isn't working.

So I thought maybe I had to get rid of the version I I downloaded through Google Drive (Can you have both version and this one, or no?) would make it work, but nope.  Im doing something wrong?  I extracted all the files after downloading it, and put a shortcut on my desktop, but it doesn't work.  Running it as an administrator or not.  Any tips?

I would like to download from itch.io.  If I can't though, maybe I should just download from the Google Drive again, would it be fully updated (I.e. typos, adding the secret route for the end, bugs, etc.) if I downloaded it from there again?  Thanks.

Haha, its fine.  Ok cool thanks, Ill be sure to use the pref. menu.  Also, ur welcome, ur game/ VN totally desreves the support.  :)

I just updated my game, looks like I lost my old save data.  Oh well, good I wasnt too far in yet, I havent had too much time to play yet, Ive been really busy.  I was honestly still in what would be considered the "Prologue" of this game, ie before u pick the path.  Plus, I had been taking my time playing the game in order to catch everything. Maybe I updated it wrong, I did it through the itch. io launcher, which updates stuff quicker.  Im sorry to ask this I dont play PC games too often, so I am a little rusty, but how do I overwrite my old save data, besides just updating?  If my old save data is lost, thats fine.

Also, sorry I havent been on discord lately and giving feedback and my thoughts on the game, like I said Ive been pretty busy, and I want to make sure I have a lot of stuff to talk about, I want to talk about the game in technicalities of the game, but I esp. I want to talk about the story and the characters and their characterization and stuff which in really order to do so, I gotta get further into th game.

Plus, I really want to be able to get into detail, so it might be long. Ill probably gonna be posting stuff about Kissy Cutie around on my social media like my "review", its gonna be fun to do that. And fun to finish the game in my free time, Ill share this stuff through discord and stuff. Ill probably wont be on discord for awhile, because I actually want to get further into the game 1st, maybe not finish but defin. at least further in, and Im pretty busy and dont have a whole lot of energy.

Its too bad the Help isnt on the menu anymore, but at least Help seems to not be completely gone, still kinda there. Anyways, thanks for the game and updating, hope u didnt hurt ur self too much on fixing stuff in order to update, Ill talk to u guys when I can about the game.
